Description
The Soft Arkansas Hone is a natural sharpening stone made from traditional Arkansas whetstone (novaculite), designed for routine knife maintenance and edge restoration. It is especially well-suited for bringing well-used or heirloom knives back into functional cutting condition.
With a soft 200–350 grit range, this hone provides a balance of cutting and polishing action, removing light edge wear while beginning the refinement process. Arkansas stones are valued for their ability to both sharpen and smooth an edge simultaneously, producing a clean, controlled cutting surface.
It is designed for use with Nathan’s Natural® Honing Oil, which helps lubricate the stone, carry away metal particles, and improve sharpening performance.
The hone features an ergonomic plastic housing for comfortable handling and a threaded brass insert for secure attachment to compatible sharpening systems.
