Description
The Coarse Hone (120 Grit Alumina-Oxide) is a sharpening accessory designed for use with the Lansky® Sharpening System, intended to quickly establish a functional cutting edge on dull or lightly damaged knives. It is commonly included in most Lansky sharpening kits (excluding Diamond and Arkansas series systems).
The 120 grit coarse alumina-oxide surface is effective for rapid material removal, making it suitable for restoring very dull blades, repairing minor edge damage, and setting an initial bevel before progressing to finer hones for refinement and polishing.
The hone features an ergonomic plastic housing for secure handling and a threaded brass insert that connects firmly to the Lansky guide rod and thumb screw system, ensuring stable and controlled sharpening.
