Description
The Leather Stropping Hone is a finishing accessory designed for use with the Lansky® Sharpening System, intended to deliver the final step in achieving an ultra-sharp, polished blade edge. It uses traditional stropping techniques with leather to refine and align the cutting edge after sharpening.
Unlike abrasive stones, the leather surface is used only on already very sharp blades to remove remaining micro-burrs and enhance edge refinement. This process produces a smooth, highly polished cutting edge that closely resembles a factory-fresh or even finer finish.
The stropping motion is unique within the Lansky system, as it is used in the opposite direction compared to other sharpening hones. Proper instructions are included to ensure correct and safe use.
