Description
The Diamond/Carbide Tactical Sharpening Rod (Lansky®) is a compact, field-ready sharpening tool designed for fast and reliable blade maintenance in demanding environments. It combines two sharpening methods in one unit: tungsten carbide for aggressive edge restoration and a 600-grit diamond rod for refinement and regular upkeep.
The tungsten carbide section is used to quickly re-establish an edge on severely dull or damaged blades, removing material rapidly to reset the cutting profile. The 600 grit diamond rod then refines and smooths the edge, restoring sharpness and improving cutting performance. For routine maintenance, the diamond rod alone is often sufficient.
It features pre-set sharpening angles at 22.5° per side (45° inclusive), ensuring consistent results without needing manual angle adjustment. The retractable diamond rod design also enhances portability and safety, making it suitable for field, tactical, or everyday carry use.
